SPIRITUAL MATTERS
Walk Your Talk
The importance of God’s word in the life of a Christian cannot be overemphasized. It should become a permanent part of a believer. Simply reading, even studying God’s word does not profit us if we don’t do what it says. Therefore, we must walk the Talk.
What does the Bible say about “The Use of Time”? How do we walk in the reality of what it says?
Ø “What I mean, brothers, is that the time is short. From now on those who have wives should live as if they had none; those who mourn, as if they did not; those who are happy, as if they were not; those who buy something, as if it were not theirs to keep; those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them. For this world in its present form is passing away”. [1 Corinthians 7: 29 – 31 NIV].
Time is in short supply. Do you waste it? Spend it? Or invest it?
Ø “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil”. [Ephesians 5:15-16 NKJV].
If you live your time unattended to, it will naturally follow the course of evil. Take the reign on your time.
Ø “There is time for everything and a season for every activity under the heaven” [Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV].
Do you do the right thing at the wrong time or wrong thing at the right time? Both profit nothing. Learn to do the right thing at the right time.
Ø “Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom”. [Psalm 90:12 NIV].
Seconds amount to minutes, minutes to hours, hours to days, days to weeks, weeks to months, months to years and the years to a lifetime. Make your life count by making every second count.
